I am currently working in a very good state secondary school as a very successful teacher. What makes me successful? For some people it’s the results I get for others it’s my relationship with the students. All I know is I’m left alone to get on with the job I enjoy and in an age of targets being left alone as the biggest complement a person can have.
I haven’t always been a teacher for several years I ran my own business, then I worked as a freelance journalist for the BBC until I found my vocation-teaching. It’s the most demanding job I’ve ever done. Indeed at times I am so exhausted I don’t know what day it is. But at least I know I am using my three degrees to good use.
So why blog? Vanity? Delusions of grandeur? I’m not sure but what I do know is at some time or another we all like to get things off our chest. You know the feeling when the wife, husband, boss or who or whatever just makes you want to scream in frustration. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
Well you’ve come to the wrong place for that, lol, because there are loads of sites that already do that. Just like there are loads of sites that do just about everything you can imagine. So what’s mine about? At the moment I don’t know, but I have some ideas and time will tell if they’re any good or not!
One thing is for certain this song express the sentiments as to why I write this…..

I’ve just come across your blog. What a load of nonsense. It’s full of self important, patronising and jealous bile. And you’re a successful teacher eh? Your paragraphs above are full of poorly punctuated sentences that hardly make sense. How can someone with 3 degrees, supposedly, make such basic grammatical errors? And you comment on children failing the 3 ‘R’s. No wonder.
